OUR MISSION is to Legitimize Educate Advocate Develop - L.E.A.D. Provide economical registry services and return membership support dollars into breeder education and meat goat industry development.

Legitimize

Legitimize the honest effort of all Savannah enthusiasts to promote the breed irregardless of the source of their foundation animals. The NASA Full Blood Herd Book is open to all other registries (Pedigree International, World Wide Sheep and Goat Archives).

Educate breeders on the Savannah Standard and Breed History in order to facilitate their pursuit of the twin Savannah ideals of Beauty and Utility. Savannah breeding programs should pursue an aesthetic phenotype whose adaptability, hardiness and maternal excellence are complementary to a very acceptable meat goat carcass.

Advocate for the widespread adoption of performance testing through industry recognized programs such as G.H.I.P, M.G.G.E.S. or KidPlan and computerized herd records management such as Easy Keeper.

Develop broad-based breeder support and recognition for industry initiatives to raise the profile and profitability of meat goat production by focusing on the market opportunities for chevon.
